- They go into the garage and find Myrtle's dead body lying in blankets and Mr Wilson freaking out
- Michaelis describes the car that ran over Myrtle and Mr Wilson recognises it as the car Tom was driving earlier
- Tom insists that it wasn't his car and he hasn't seen it all afternoon
- Tom, Jordan and Nick head back to the Buchanans house and Tom breaks down in tears
- When they get back, Nick finds Gatsby hiding in the bushes
- Find out Gatsby wasn't actually driving the car, Daisy was
- Gatsby says he'll say he was driving to protect Daisy
- Gatsby insists on staying at the Buchanans to make sure Daisy is ok

Gatsby fires all his original servants and gets new ones because he doesn't want people to gossip about him and Daisy's affair

Tom see's the way that Daisy and Gatsby looks at each other and works out they are having an affair
When Tom leaves the room Daisy goes over to Gatsby and kisses him ' you know I do love you''she murmured'
Daisy gets her nanny to bring in her child to show her off to Gatsby
Gatsby is surprised at this
We don't learn the child's name she's only refer to as 'child' we only learn her name when she leaves as the nanny goes 'Come Pammy'
Daisy thinks they should go into town
They go in two different cars, Tom, Nick and Jordan go in one and Daisy and Gatsby go in the other
Tom, Jordan and Nick stop at Wilson's garage (where Tom's mistress lives) and Myrtel is looking out the window "with eyes wide from jealous terror" She believes Jordan is Tom's wife.
They end up going to the Plaza Hotel
Tom reveals he done some research on Gatsby
He questions Gatsby's background he is forced to reveal the affair of him and Daisy.
When the affair is revealed he claims he's going to take 'better care' of her.
Tom insists that Daisy goes with Gatsby in his car
When Tom, Nick and Jordan stop at Wilson's garage and discover that Myrtel has been killed by a hit and run driver
Tom, Nick and Jordan all know that it was Gatsby's car was involved from the description but they don't know who was driving
Wilson thinks it was Tom who did it as he was driving it earlier but Tom explains that the car did not belong to him
Daisy is already home before Tom, Nick and Jordan arrive
Nick doesn't go into the house
Nick finds Gatsby in between the bushes
We discover Daisy was the one driving Gatsby's car
Gatsby tells Nick he is going to the take the blame for Myrtels death
Nick goes to look in on Tom and Daisy's house and he see's them sitting at the table and it appears they are conspring together.
Nick tries to get Gatsby to come home but he refuses he wants to stay until Daisy goes to sleep

Before they go to New York they are in Tom and Daisy's house
